Day 1 - Introduction

Welcome to APUSH....This Blog houses all the information you need for this class

1. Grading 
    1st Semester covers Periods 1-5
    Each Period will have one Test
    Each Friday (ish) there will be a reading quiz (Monday for week 1)
    We will have additional quizzes (terms and such)
    Tests are 70% of the grade (5 tests semester 1)
    Quizzes are 30% of the grade (about 16 quizzes)
2. Assignments
     Every activity we do in class is to prepare you for the AP Exam (May 10th, 2019)
     These activities are not all graded but when needed feedback will be given
3. Homework
     There will be about 4-8 pages of reading and note taking every night
     Weekends have only one reading....your welcome :)
     We will discuss "how to" note take soon.
4. Explanation of using Themes while taking notes
5. How this class will Run
    -Blogger (put this website in your bookmarks)
    -Calendar for nightly readings (save this in your APUSH folder)
    -Breaking down a Typical Week (write this down inside cover of notebook)
6. Class Website
7. Turn in your Summer reading book and submit summaries!
8. Artist of the week: The Smashing Pumpkins, Alt-J, Shakey Graves (Optional, but I will introduce you to good music as the year goes on. Modern Artists Semester 1, Classic Artists Semester 2)

1. Period 8 Test is:       - Tomorrow - DBQ       - Friday - LEQ       - Monday MC and SAQ 2. Test corrections are due today! 3. Practice Exam Tonight! 5 pm 4. Navigate the  APUSH Wix  site, pull what you need now. 5. Two Perspectives: The Korean War     - Reading  (on paper too!)     - Activity  (make a group copy) 6.  Themes  and  Eras  chart with your notes and pods (Should have a few periods of US History to catch up on). 7.  Who said what and why?  (Due at a later date)
